24K Gold Dipped Natural Kukui Nut Lei

This Hawaiian Heirloom Lei is so unique that we have never seen it before, another Original Creation by our Artists.

22 Natural kukui nuts were hand selected and sized. Then each nut was electroformed with 6 microns of copper onto the wood to form a base for the immediate electroplating of one micron of silver to be electroplated. Silver is the best base possible for the final coating of a heavy one micron thick of 24K Gold. Then each nut is hand polished and strung on a black fabric ribbon with knots between each kukui. This 22 kukui nut lei is perfect for the slack key guitar or ukulele player with the shorter lei style for either kane or wahine.
