Maile Earrings & Necklaces by Hawaiian Heirloom Lei

We wanted to create a maile leaf as accurate to the real thing as possible, so our artists used real maile leaves from the Island of Maui. This smaller leaf variety from Maui is called ‘Maile Lau Li’i’ .

We only use creations of the Maile lau li’i in our earrings and necklaces. My husband Craig created the patterns for these leaves from real maile leaves and his memories of decades riding his horses and mules Upcountry Maui to his favorite maile patch at the top of Kaupo Gap on Maui.

Hawaiian Heirloom Lei offers maile earrings and necklaces handcrafted from Brass, Pure 99.9% Fine Silver, Silver plated brass, 24K Gold plated brass, 18K Rose plated brass or 24K Gold plated 99.9% Pure Silver. Each leaf is created one at a time just like Nature. The different materials offer a choice for fashion and budget and of course are complimented by our matching maile lei.
