This is the first Silver Plated Natural Kukui Nut Lei we ever saw…and we made it !!!
Twenty Two Large Natural Kukui Nuts were first hand selected and then electroformed with 6 microns of copper to adhere to the kukui. Then each kukui nut is immediately electroplated with one micron of Silver Plating then polished to a brilliant shine and strung on a black fabric ribbon. The average thickness for electroplating with precious metals is 1/2 micron thick which gives this jewelry twice the longevity as average jewelry.
