We first hand selected the 19 smooth kukui nuts for this lei, then we electroformed 6 microns of copper onto the kukui to make a base for the one micron thick silver plating to be elctroplated on top before polishing and strung on a black fabric ribbon. This shorter lei is very versatile, worn by kane or wahine, guitar players, hula dancers, or anyone for any occasion
